1. Who we are
This website is run by Benoît Rossignol, an entrepreneur individuel (sole trader) registered in France, trading as BR Media, SIREN 789 477 726, 123 Avenue Henri Ginoux, 92120 Montrouge, France. Contact: hello@postfox.ai.
2. Where you are decides whether we ask first
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and wherever we cannot tell the country, a banner asks first, with three choices of the same size and weight: “Accept all”, “Refuse all” and “Customize”. Until you choose, this website loads no analytics and no advertising script, sends nothing to Google or PostHog, and keeps nothing for measurement or advertising: Google’s tag is not in the page at all. If you never answer, nothing is kept.
Everywhere else, the United States included, there is no banner: measurement and advertising are on from your first visit, and you can turn either off at any time from “Your privacy choices”, at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, advertising stays off.
To decide, our host Vercel reads the country of your connection and tells this page whether to ask; the country is not kept.
3. What this website stores in your browser
Always, because the site needs it
- cookie_consent (a cookie): whether you accepted measurement. Set when you choose, kept 12 months, on postfox.ai and its subdomains, so that app.postfox.ai knows your choice too.
- cookie_advertising (a cookie): whether you accepted advertising, which counts only with measurement. Set when you choose, kept 12 months, on postfox.ai and its subdomains, so that app.postfox.ai keeps an ad’s identifier only when you accepted it.
- cookie_preferences (local storage): the detail of that choice, measurement and advertising. Set when you choose, kept until you clear this site’s data.
- The free tools’ daily counters (local storage:
hookgen_uses,postfox_cta_gen,postfox_rate_post): how many times you used that tool today, and the date. Set the first time you use the tool, so that its daily free limit applies. They stay in your browser and are never sent to us; they restart at zero each day and are kept until you clear this site’s data. - pf_internal (a cookie): set only on our own team’s browsers, when they open a special address, so that their visits are left out of our counts, on postfox.ai and app.postfox.ai. Kept 2 years. It is never set otherwise.
Measurement: once you accept it where we ask first, from your first visit elsewhere
- Google Analytics 4 (cookies
_gaand_ga_S39R18ZY5S, kept 13 months): the pages you view and how you use them (scrolling, links to other sites, the clicks listed below), with your browser, your device and an approximate location. Its advertising features stay off unless you also accept advertising; Google signals are always off. - PostHog (a
ph_…_posthogcookie, kept 12 months and shared with app.postfox.ai, andph_entries in local and session storage): a random identifier, the pages you view, the same clicks, where on the page you click, how fast the page loads, errors the page runs into, and recordings of your visit in which every piece of text on the page and everything you type shows as asterisks. - pf_utm (a cookie, kept 90 days, on postfox.ai and its subdomains): the campaign tags of the link that first brought you here (such as which campaign it was), the page you arrived on and when. If you create an account on app.postfox.ai, your company records them, so that we know which campaigns bring customers.
If you then create an account on app.postfox.ai, Google Analytics also learns that this visit ended in a signup, and later when your company launches a campaign or first pays: the app sends it the identifiers from these cookies, never your name or your email (Privacy Policy, section 6).
The clicks counted are the “Start free” buttons, with where each one is on the page; the two plan buttons; “Log in”; “How it works”; the “There’s An AI For That” badge; and each use of a free tool, with which tool it was, never what you pasted into it.
Advertising: once you accept it where we ask first, from your first visit elsewhere, and only with measurement
Advertising loads nothing more. It lets Google Analytics use advertising cookies, so that we can measure our ad campaigns, and it keeps one cookie of our own:
- pf_click (a cookie, kept 90 days, on postfox.ai and its subdomains): the identifier Google Ads adds to the link of an ad you click (
gclid, gbraidorwbraid), and when. If you then create an account on app.postfox.ai, and the company you create launches its first campaign or first pays, Google Ads learns that its ad led there: it receives that identifier, never your name or your email (Privacy Policy, section 6).
Without measurement, advertising does nothing.
4. What loads from other sites
- Cloudflare Turnstile: on the three free tools that write with AI (the hook generator, the call-to-action generator and Rate my post), and on /admin, a page for our own team. When one of these pages opens, Cloudflare’s security check loads from challenges.cloudflare.com and reads signals such as your IP address and your browser, to tell a person from a bot. It shows nothing on the page and sets no cookie on postfox.ai.
- The “There’s An AI For That” badge, at the bottom of every page: the image is stored on postfox.ai and is a plain link. Nothing loads from theresanaiforthat.com, and no cookie is set, unless you click it, which opens their site.
Fonts and images come from postfox.ai itself. This website loads no other tracking or advertising script.
5. Changing your mind
“Your privacy choices”, at the bottom of every page, opens the choices, wherever you are. Your choice covers postfox.ai and app.postfox.ai: made on either site, the latest one applies to both, including to a page left open on the other site. A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal keeps advertising off whatever is saved. Withdrawing stops Google Analytics and PostHog at once, on the page you are on, and removes Google Analytics’ cookies and pf_utm; withdrawing advertising removes pf_click. Clearing this site’s cookies brings the banner back where we ask first, and the defaults elsewhere.
