We're hiring LinkedIn post templates: one role, three voices (2026)

    PostfoxPostfox TeamUpdated October 2026

    Short answer

A we're hiring LinkedIn post works best from people, not only from the company Page: the hiring manager describes the work, a future teammate describes a normal week, and a founder says why the role exists now. Each links to the same job. Below: one brief, three posts by role and the Page post.

    The brief

One brief per open role: the facts everyone needs, and who should say what.

    Sample brief

    Campaign title

We're hiring a [Role] in [Location or Remote]

    Brief

We're hiring a [Role] to [main outcome]. In the first six months, they'll [thing 1], [thing 2] and [thing 3]. Must have: [two or three real requirements]. Salary range: [range, if you publish it]. Job post: [job link].

We want this to reach people who'd never see a job ad. Post about the part you know: the manager on the work itself, a teammate on what a normal week looks like, a founder on why we need this person now. Link to the job post. If you know someone, a direct message works better than a tag.

    Three posts from that brief

Three reasons to apply, from three people. Replace the words in [brackets] and keep what's true for your team.

    Written as the hiring manager

I'm hiring the person who'll work next to me on [main outcome].

The real job: in your first six months you'd [thing 1], [thing 2] and [thing 3]. You'd work with [team or roles] and talk to customers every week.

What I care about: [requirement 1] and [requirement 2]. What I don't care about: where you went to school.

The salary range is [range]. Full description and the form: [job link]

If this sounds like someone you know, I'd be grateful for an intro.

    Written as a future teammate

What a normal week on our team looks like, since we're hiring a [Role]:

Monday we pick the week's priorities together. Tuesday to Thursday is mostly focused work, with one customer call each. Friday we show what we shipped, even when it's small.

It's a small team, so your work is visible from week one. Questions about the job? Ask me, and I'll answer honestly. [job link]

    Written as a founder

Six months ago we couldn't have hired for this role. Now [reason the role exists, for example customers ask for it every week], and we need someone who wakes up thinking about it.

We're looking for a [Role]. Details and salary range: [job link]

Referrals are how we've hired our best people, so tell me who I should talk to.

    The company Page post

The facts, the range and the link. The people's posts carry the reasons.

We're hiring a [Role] ([Location or Remote]). You'd [main outcome], with a small team that ships every week. Salary range: [range]. Apply here: [job link] #hiring

    Timing and tagging

    • Share the job from your own profile with #Hiring. LinkedIn lets people who work at the company share a job from their profile with the #Hiring photo frame. It notifies relevant job seekers in their 1st and 2nd degree network, and the hiring team can be invited to share the job too (LinkedIn Help: Social #Hiring).
    • One post a day, over the week. The manager on day one, a teammate two days later, a founder at the end of the week: the role stays in front of people longer than three posts in one morning.
    • Ask for intros, not reshares. A direct message to one right person beats a hundred likes. Never tag someone as a candidate in public.
    • Say who you are. A teammate's post works because it's honest about the job, the good parts and the hard ones.

    FAQ

How do I write a we're hiring post on LinkedIn?

Say what the person will actually do in their first months, two or three real requirements, the salary range if you publish it, and the link to apply. Then ask your network for introductions.

Should I post the job from my profile or from the company Page?

Both. The Page post gives the official version; posts from the hiring manager and the team reach people who don't follow the company. LinkedIn's #Hiring feature lets employees share a job from their own profile (LinkedIn Help).

What is the #Hiring photo frame?

A frame LinkedIn adds to your profile photo when you share a job with its #Hiring feature. It shows your network that you're hiring and features you in the job's Meet the Hiring Team section (LinkedIn Help).

How often should we post about one open role?

One post per person, spread over a week or two, is plenty. Post again when something changes, such as a new interview date or an update on the role.
